120 Student Tickets (First Come, First Served) WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE on Tuesday, March 17th, AT 8PM ON OPA STORE (tab found on the website header).

FIELD  TRIP DETAILS

The Cy Woods Orchestra is headed to Galveston's Moody Gardens and the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Transportation will be provided by the orchestra program via school bus, departing Cy Woods around 7 AM and returning around 9 PM, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

Student Ticket includes:

• Transportation to and from Cy Woods, Galveston Moody Gardens, and Pleasure Pier

• Admission to Moody Gardens Aquarium

• Admission to Moody Gardens Rainforest

• Lunch buffet at Moody Gardens Restaurant

• All-day ride pass at Pleasure Pier

The public price for all of the above, excluding transportation, is about $115. However, your directors have secured a discounted ticket price of $80, and OPA has committed to covering $10 of each ticket. Therefore, your ticket price will be just $70 (+$1 credit card processing fee)! (THANK YOU to Spirit Nights!)

Please note that each student will be responsible for their own dinner and any additional expenses. More trip details will be provided closer to the date, including a mandatory parent meeting.

WANT TO BE A CHAPERONE?​

Being a chaperone is a significant responsibility and should not be taken lightly. You will be charged with watching other peoples’ children, not your own.

​

Chaperone Duties include:

• Check ins with your assigned group every time we get on the bus.

• Check ins at every venue change, meals, mid-stay checks.

• Digital check-ins via text with your group.

• Assisting with monitoring entry and exit points.

• Monitoring student behavior and adherence to CFISD Student Code of Conduct.

• Managing any crisis as they arise.

• Ensuring safety and administering first aid if necessary.

• CPR certification is a plus.
