Hello Cy Woods Orchestra Students:

Join the Cy Woods Orchestra on November 8, 2025, at 4:15 PM for an early dinner in the Commons, followed by a trip to Jones Hall to experience the Houston Symphony, "Shall We Dance?" at 7:30 PM. The return time is expected to be around 10:30 PM or earlier, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
The evening will begin with a delicious catered dinner from Olive Garden Fairfield featuring bread, salad, and a pasta station (with vegetarian options) in the Commons (aka school cafeteria) before we journey downtown.
Thanks to OPA’s help, the total cost for the dinner and your Houston Symphony ticket is just $15 (+ $1 credit card fee).
We need volunteers to help set up/decor, serve dinner, and clean up. We also need donations of water bottles and desserts (cookies, brownies, and fruit trays). We plan to serve 100 people. The CWHS Orchestra program will secure the Commons area for dinner and ensure safe transportation, with Directors and chaperones guiding the way. This opportunity is available exclusively to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Chaperone tickets will be made available at a later date. As part of this enriching experience, students are expected to adhere to the CFISD Student Code of Conduct. Students are also expected to dress appropriately for this event, ie, Sunday best.
